- any mapfile that outputs to image/jpeg cannot produce a map image
 - first reported on mapserver-users mailing list
 - only applies to MS4W 6.0-betas
 - could be the jpeg-8b library that it is built on

For the record, a shp2img -test.jpg generates a 0 KB jpeg file and returns this
error:

"Wrong JPEG library version: library is 62, caller expects 80"

Testing with jpeg-8c now.

 - discovered that the GD makefile.vc was pointing to a non-existent jpeg-6b
folder (should have been jpeg-8b)
 - upgraded to jpeg-8c
 - rebuilt GD pointing to jpeg-8c
 - can generate valid jpeg map images with MapServer 6.0
 - patch build available at
http://www.maptools.org/dl/ms4w/mapserver_ms4w-6.0.0-beta6-patch.zip
 - needs testing!

- I should note: this change was applied to MS4W 3.0.3 release
